Cooking and Dining
The small kitchenette with fridge/box freezer, sink, microwave, toaster and kettle provides the space to rustle up a snack or treat your loved one to breakfast in bed. Take a seat around the table for two and enjoy some quality time with each other over some good food and a glass of wine.
Garden and Grounds
Soak up the tranquil ambience of the surrounding nature in the private walled garden sat by a fledgling orchard. Situated at the front of the main farmhouse, the garden looks out over the beautiful views of the Great British Countryside’s rolling hills and grazing cattle.
Amble through Brosterfield’s acres of glorious greenery or roam the hills for miles on end, on one of the many walks right on your doorstep. Here you’ll discover the untamed valleys and open moorland that sits in contrast as you walk beyond the manicured lawns and drystone walls of Brosterfield Farm.
If it’s pub grub you’re after, try the local Bull’s Head in Foolow. Stroll down the lane with your dog and enjoy a pint or two of good local ales by the fire then ask the friendly landlord for a lift home after a night of fun. Or venture further to one of the many villages pubs nearby, such as the Barrel at Bretton or the Flagstone.
The surrounding area of Brosterfield offers a fantastic variety of restaurants, cafes and bakeries to suit any taste. For traditional Italian head to El Lupo's in Baslow or French at Piedaniels. Catch a coffee break at Riley’s in Bakewell or have a night in with a takeaway from The Curry Cottage. For a night of celebration or just in the mood for beautiful food, dinning at the Michelin-starred Fischer’s at Baslow Hall is the ideal place to spend the evening.
A short drive away are the most amazing Peak District attractions. Chatsworth House (10 mins), historic spa town of Buxton (20 minutes), Bakewell (5 minutes), Haddon Hall (10 minutes), and much, much more.
Upon seeing Brosterfield Farm we immediately fell in love with it and realised it was a very special place. We knew that we wanted to create a wonderful family home with high quality accommodation for guests to come and stay and enjoy everything the Peak National Park has to offer. Over the next two years (and many sleepless nights), we have carefully and lovingly restored the farm, the stables and small barn into a beautiful home and a luxury getaway for guests.
