Brosterfield Cottage is a contemporary and cosy 1 bedroom cottage nestled in the heart of the Peak District. Located just a short walk from the village of Foolow, the cottage has breathtaking, south-facing views of rolling hills and grazing cattle. The cottage has undergone a wonderful renovation with beautiful furnishings to ensure guests have a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The downstairs open-plan kitchen and living area is the perfect place to have a quiet night in, cooking up a feast in the well-equipped kitchen and relaxing on the comfy sofa after a long day of roaming the Peaks. Modern conveniences such as fast wifi, Nest thermostats and designer lighting, complement a contemporary and cosy cottage style. Upstairs, sink into the cosy cotton sheets and deep mattress of the kingsized bed, looking out of the window onto breathtaking views of the hills. Next to the bedroom is a modern en-suite bath and shower room.
To the front of the cottage, you will find a garden table and chairs, perfect for soaking up those picturesque views of the countryside. Adjacent to the cottage is a lovely little private lawned garden area with private parking.
Located at the end of a 500-metre private driveway, the cottage occupies a quiet and secluded spot next door to the owner's house on the edge of the village. A network of public footpaths can be accessed from the door connecting keen hikers and dog walkers to the hills. The local pub is less than a mile away and serves excellent food and local ales. The owners of Brosterfield Hall have a lovely doggie which generally tends to be kept around the Hall, but occasionally you may meet her. She is very friendly. We do ask if you are bringing dogs yourself to keep your doggies on the lead when outside of the property and if you have a dog that may not like other dogs, just to let us know in advance.
Upon seeing Brosterfield Farm we immediately fell in love with it and realised it was a very special place. We knew that we wanted to create a wonderful family home with high quality accommodation for guests to come and stay and enjoy everything the Peak National Park has to offer. Over the next two years (and many sleepless nights), we have carefully and lovingly restored the farm, the stables and small barn into a beautiful home and a luxury getaway for guests.
